Mark R. Lenz is a Managing Director of Consensus.

Mark Lenz joined Consensus as a consultant in September 2006 and as a managing director in November 2006. At Consensus, Mr. Lenz has actively advised many firm clients in restructuring processes and strategic opportunities. With Consensus, Mr. Lenz has served as a principal financial advisor to the official committee of unsecured creditors of the Robbins Bros., Shane Co., Finlay Enterprises, Friedman’s and Crescent Jewelers, Tyringham Holdings and M. Fabrikant & Sons bankruptcy estates. He has also led multiple due diligence projects on behalf of our clients including a multi-line children’s products business, a retailer of fast-fashion for teenagers, a high-end menswear business and domestic and international jewelry businesses.

Prior to joining Consensus, Mr. Lenz spent 19 years at Zale Corporation, a New York Stock Exchange listed jewelry retailer, in a variety of financial and executive capacities, most recently serving as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, a position he held beginning in 2003. During his tenure at Zale’s, he participated in several complex financial transactions including the acquisitions of Gordon’s Jewelers, People’s Jewelers of Canada and Piercing Pagoda and their related financings. Before Zale’s, Mr. Lenz worked as an auditor at Arthur Anderson.

Mr. Lenz is a certified public accountant and has a degree in accounting from The University of Texas.
