Marshall Schleifman joined Consensus in January 2015. Prior to Consensus, Mr. Schleifman worked at Hudson’s Bay Company (HBC), the operator of Saks Fifth Avenue, Lord & Taylor and Hudson’s Bay department stores, as Vice President – Finance from 2012 to 2015 with primary responsibilities for Investor Relations, Capital Markets and Corporate Development including HBC’s November 2012 IPO and November 2013 acquisition of Saks Incorporated.
Prior to HBC, Mr. Schleifman worked at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in the Consumer & Retail Group from 2005 to 2011 primarily focused on strategic advisory and capital markets assignments for retail and restaurant clients. Prior to that, he worked at Financo, an investment bank focused primarily on retail and apparel mergers and acquisitions advisory; Bain & Co. in the Strategy Consulting and Private Equity Consulting practices; and Salomon Smith Barney’s Global Consumer Group. Throughout his investment banking career, Mr. Schleifman has advised on over 50 transactions totaling over $5 billion in completed Mergers & Acquisitions and over $25 billion of capital raises.
Mr. Schleifman holds a B.S. in Commerce with concentrations in finance and marketing from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia.
